Ray of Hope is currently seeking a Café Service Member for our Youth Employment Program at Morning Glory Café – Heffner location.

The Café Service Member is responsible for supporting and providing assistance to the Café Supervisor to ensure the café is efficiently and effectively operated. S/he will lead the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. S/he will follow the preparation guidelines for the pre-determined menu and special items, ensuring customer satisfaction. The Café Service Member will provide superior customer service and ensure that customers are served in a timely manner and orders are processed accurately as required. S/he will supervise and direct operations in the absence of the Café Supervisor. The Café Service Member will work in a fast-pace, high-pressure work environment to meet the demands of our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of High-School Diploma or GED and completion of a culinary program is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a food preparation position and previous Customer service experience is an asset.

Requirements:

  • Police Records Check, including a screening with the vulnerable sector.
  • Must be able to lift/transport up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work 24 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts required.
